# GT Identify FAQ

#### What is GT Identify?

GT Identify gives you a live inventory of the IT assets on each vessel — computers and networked devices — plus visibility of installed software and known vulnerabilities. It helps crews and shore teams understand what’s onboard, what’s changed, and where risk exists.

#### **What does GT Identify track?**

GT Identify discovers both \*\*computer-based systems\*\* and \*\*networked devices\*\* on a vessel network.

**Computer-based systems (e.g., PCs, servers)**

\- CPU (make/model)

\- RAM (size/type)

\- Storage (disk size/type, used/free space)

\- Network interfaces (IP addresses, MAC addresses)

\- Domain/workgroup information

\- Operating system and version

\- Services

\- BIOS

\- Motherboard (manufacturer/model)

**Networked devices (e.g., printers, routers, switches and other endpoints)**

\- IP address

\- MAC address

\- Manufacturer details (where available)

\- First detection timestamp

**Software inventory**

\- Software name

\- Vendor/publisher

\- Version

\- Known vulnerabilities (CVEs), matched using NIST NVD data

#### **What are the prerequisites?**

To onboard a vessel you’ll need:

\- Access to the \*\*GTMaritime Dashboard\*\*

\- Vessel accounts created in the dashboard

\- The \*\*GTMaritime agent\*\* installed on at least one endpoint onboard (typically a PC or server)

Additional lightweight agents can be installed on other endpoints as required.

#### **How is GT Identify deployed on vessels?**

Deployment is completed through a simple agent installation:

\- Install the agent on one endpoint per vessel to begin discovery

\- Optionally deploy lightweight agents to additional endpoints for broader coverage

#### **What connectivity is required?**

GT Identify is designed for vessels with intermittent connectivity.

\- Data is collected locally on the vessel network

\- Endpoints synchronise with \*\*GTMaritime Hub\*\* when an internet connection is available

\- The dashboard alerts users when endpoints are \*\*late or delayed\*\* in reporting

#### **How quickly can a fleet be onboarded?**

Onboarding time depends on fleet size and access to vessel systems, but \*\*a single vessel can typically be set up within around one hour\*\*.

#### **What training and support is available?**

We provide:

\- Product walkthroughs and onboarding guidance

\- Practical onboarding checklists

\- Support via our \*\*24/7 service desk\*\*

#### **Can GT Identify be used as evidence for audits or inspections?**

Yes. A clear inventory of onboard IT assets and visibility of vulnerabilities supports compliance with \*\*IMO cyber security guidance\*\* and common audit expectations.

#### **Where is the data stored, and who can access it?**

Data is stored:

\- Locally on the endpoint, and

\- In our cloud platform hosted on AWS

*Our cloud hosting is based in \*\*Frankfurt and Dublin\*\*. Access is restricted to authorised users within the customer account, and to GTMaritime support personnel where required to deliver the service.*

#### **Is data encrypted in transit and at rest?**

Yes — data is encrypted both in transit and at rest.

#### **Is there a minimum commitment or contract length?**

No — there is \*\*no minimum contract term\*\*.

#### **How does licensing and billing work?**

GT Identify is licensed **per vess****el**

Billing is monthly and starts once a vessel begins sending data (i.e., once the client is installed and reporting).

#### **What is your data retention policy?**

GTMaritime is finalising the data retention policy for GT Identify. In the meantime, we can support customer requirements during onboarding discussions (for example, retention expectations for security and compliance purposes).

#### **What’s next on the roadmap?**

We’re working closely with early adopters to shape the GT Identify roadmap and prioritise improvements based on customer feedback.

For the broader GTMaritime Hub roadmap:

- GT Protect is planned for **Q1 202****6**
- Detect / Respond / Recover capabilities are planned for **Q2 2026**

Plans may evolve based on customer feedback and operational requirements.
